We are able to offer a full repair service for all vintage fountain pens.
Over the years we have gained a great deal of experience in repairing all vintage pens, particularly Parkers, Conway Stewart, Mabie Todd (Swan and Blackbird), Sheaffer, Waterman and most of the smaller English makes (Mentmore, Burnham etc).
We are able to repair or restore most types of pen, including lever fillers, button fillers, piston fillers, leverless models and plungers.
Please be aware that if your pen is less than about 15 years old (or under a manufacturer's warranty), it will be best to return it direct to the manufacturer's service department. This can easily be done through the manufacturers web site or through an authorized retailer.
If you have a pen that needs repairing or restoring please send it to us, well packed, with your details (including email address preferably) and a note explaining the problem. Send the pen using the Special Delivery service to the address on our Contact Us page.
On receiving your pen, we will examine it and then send you or email you a quotation for the repair work. If you wish to continue with the work, you then send us a cheque or send a Paypal payment. If you do not wish to have the work done then we will return your pen to you (no charge). Once we have received your payment work on your pen will be completed as soon as possible - normally around 2-4 weeks.
The repair quote will detail the cost of the basic service, the cost of any spare parts required and the cost of return insured postage and packaging.
Costs.
- A basic service for any pen with a lever, twist, button or aerometric filler is £15.00
- A basic service for other filling systems (eg piston fillers, snorkels or vacuum fillers) is £30
- The cost of spare parts depends entirely on the part and its availability. Replacement nibs start from £20, Clips from £10, caps and barrels from £10.
- Return Insured Postage is £5 within the UK, £6 within Europe.
- A replacement hard presentation case is available at an additional cost of £3.50
