English Drawing Instrument Set in original box.

This is another wonderful example of an early twentieth century drawing set in excellent condition. This one was made around 1920 by Stanley of Great Turnstile, Holborn, London.

The set is housed in a polished hardwood box (possibly maple or beech) which has brass hinges and a brass lock (key supplied). The box is beautifully constructed with finger joints on all corners. The inside of the lid is lined with blue silk which has the makers name printed on it.

The box measures 195mm wide x 106mm deep x 45mm high.

The instruments are constructed from brass and hardened steel and all seem to be part of the original set. All the original components are present and there are a number of additional items in the lower storage area under the main tray. These include an original Stanley bisecting ruler of the same period, a brass protractor and a number of period brass mounting pins. All of the instruments show wear, they have not been cleaned up as I prefer the 'original' look but they would clean up nicely if you wanted them to.
