This is an interesting and rare pen made by Platignum in the 1930's. This was the time that Platignum made top quality pens, not to be confused with the mass market cheap rubbish they produced in the 60's and 70's.
The pen is a stylograph and it is filled with a conventional button filling mechanism hidden under the blind cap. The nib on a stylograph consists of a narrow bore steel tube with a wire needle down the middle. As the tuber touches the paper the needle is pushed back and allows ink to flow. They are typically used as drafting pen or technical drawing pens as the width of the line they produce is very consistent.
This particular pen is in near mint condition. It has been fully serviced and now works perfectly. It would be an interesting addition to any collection.
Condition: Mint (What does this mean).
