Product Details

Swan (Mabie Todd) Leverless PROTOTYPE Fountain Pen

Description.

This is a very rare Prototype model made by Swan around 1940. The model did not go into production and was an attempt by the company to develop a vacumatic type filler to compete with the recently introduced Parker Vacumatic. It is not entirely clear how this particular pen was going to work but it has a long plunger with a flat plate internally which compressed a sack of some description. All the parts of the pen are intact but the details of the ink sack to be used have been lost. The swan factory was destroyed during the war and most of the prototypes and the drawings were destroyed, that makes this pen even more unique.

This is a rare opportunity to buy a unique piece of history.

The pen barrel is marked T-91 and it is fitted with a No.4 Eternal nib.

The pen shows only very minor wear marks and is generally in excellent condition.

Condition: Grade A (What does this mean).

Remember!

  • Postage anywhere in the world is free!
  • All pens come with a 12 month warranty
  • The pen will be supplied in its original card box. Other hard presentation boxes are available.
