Product Details
Swan (Mabie Todd) Leverless Fountain Pen.

Description.
This is a super early example of the Swan Self Filling pen. It is finished in Red Ripple and is in good condition throughout.
The plating to the clip and barrel rings is good and the imprint is clear and sharp.
The pen dates from around 1925 and it is fitted with a splendid No.2 nib which is in excellent condition. It writes with a smooth medium line and the nib has a nice amount of flex.
There are a couple of wear marks to the pen which need pointing out, there are some very small chips on the shoulder of the section and there is a degree of distortion to the top of the barrel which causes the cap to sit very slightly out of line.
Personally I don't mind minor damage on a pen of this age. This wonderful pen is full of character and still writes beautifully. The flex in the nib gives a wonderful line variation.
Condition: Grade B (What does this mean).
