Parker Duofold Senior "Big Red" Fountain Pen.
The Parker Duofold Senior was the flagship of the Duofold range in the mid 1920's. The pen is finished in the classic Orange and is known the world over as the "Big Red" This is the earlier version with a parallel cap made from Permanite which superseded the hard rubber models from the early 1920's.
It is in excellent condition with only very minor wear marks. The imprint is clear. the clip is gold plated and the pen is fitted with a single deep gold plated cap ring. The plating on the clip is in good order, there is some minor loss of plating on the cap ring.
The nib is on the fine side of medium and is in near mint condition. The button filling mechanism has been fully serviced and the pen is ready to write.
