Early Swan (Mabie Todd) Self Filling Fountain Pen with Gold Filled Cap and Barrel.
Description.
This is a super early example of the Swan Self Filling Fountain pen. It is made from black hard rubber with a gold filled metal overlay. The overlay is in excellent condition and the pattern is crisp and unworn.
The pen dates from around 1930 and was made in the USA. It is fitted with a splendid No.2 nib which is a medium with a nice amount of flex. It writes with a smooth line.
Overall the pen is in excellent condition with no dings to the gold and only very minor wear marks.
Condition: Grade A (What does this mean).
