I am not sure about this one! As far as I am aware, Onoto did not make any Button Fillers but I have one here in front of me! It is finished in Black with a curved, slightly ornate looking, clip. The word "Onoto" has been stamped on the barrel along with the letters "AF"
The nib is not original and is a later replacement plated type, it writes well with a medium line and the nib has a great deal of flex. The pen has been serviced and is in good working order.
This pen may have been an Onoto prototype or it may be a copy, I cannot be sure. Either way it is very interesting!
De La Rue produced the Onoto range and they enjoyed a reputation for being the highest quality British made pen. They were of a better quality than all their contemporaries including Conway Stewart and Parker. This particular pen is well made and could easily have been a prototype.
Condition: Grade A (What does this mean).
