This is a splendid example of this rare and desirable fountain pen from the renowned English manufacturer Thomas De la Rue.
De La Rue produced the Onoto range and they enjoyed a reputation for being the highest quality British made pen.
They were of a better quality than all their contemporaries including Conway Stewart and Parker.
This is the Onoto Minor dating from around 1938, it is finished in Black & Silver Brickwork with gold filled trim to the clip and double cap rings. It is in excellent, near mint condition and the imprint on the barrel is clear and legible. The original price sticker is still attached to the cap,

And the original nib size sticker is still on the bottom of the blind cap.

The pen is fitted with the Onoto pump filling system which has been fully and professionally serviced and is now in perfect order. New seals have been fitted so the pen is fully restored to its 1938 condition.
The nib is a Broad and writes with a wonderful smooth line with a nice amount of flex to give good line variation.
The pen is supplied in its original box.
