Early Swan (Mabie Todd) SF330 Self  Filling Fountain Pen.

Description.

This is a super early example of the Swan SF330 Self Filling Fountain pen. It is a very large pen with a great deal of presence and these early Swan are becoming increasingly scarce.

It is finished in Chased Black Hard Rubber and is in very good condition throughout.

There are three gold filled rings, two on the barrel and one at the top of the cap. There is also an intermediate red ripple band at the top of the cap.

The nib is an original No.3 14ct gold medium and is in excellent condition.

In addition, the pen is fitted with a gold filled pocket clip, marked with the patent date of Jan 19 1915.

The pen dates from around 1920 and is in excellent condition throughout.

Condition: Grade A (What does this mean).
