The Parker 61 was introduced in the early sixties and utilised the revolutionary new capillary filling system. The capillary system was not a great success and was replaced later in the decade with the aerometric system borrowed from the Duofold and 51 range. These later pens could be used with standard Parker Cartridges or the converter could be fitted to enable the pen to be filled from an ink bottle.
This is one of the later models and is fitted with the far better cartridge / converter fillers. The converter is supplied with the pen but is easily removed of cartridges are preferred.
This is the Parker 61 Custom finished in Rage Red with a Gold Filled cap, it is in excellent condition. The original gold filled arrow on the hood has been replaced with a white resin infill which looks better than the original and is guaranteed not to fall out! (a very common problem on Parker 61's)
The pen is fitted with a medium - broad nib and writes superbly with a smooth line. The filling system has been fully serviced and the pen is ready to write.
The pen comes in its original hard case and would make an excellent gift.
