This is an excellent example of the famous Watermans Ideal finished in Green Marble. It was made in the UK around 1946. It is engraved neatly on the barrel, "D T Walters" and underneath in smaller letters "The Second World War 1939-1945". It was probably presented to Mr Walters on completion of his service in the War, I think this gives the pen a nice provenance.
The pattern is bright and clear, the imprint is crisp and overall the pen is in excellent condition with no splits or deep scratches. The gold plating to the clip, cap ring and lever is in excellent condition and the the solid 14ct gold ideal nib is original to the pen and in great condition. The nib writes with a medium line and has a lovely flex to it.
Altogether this is a very nice pen and a great example of the British made Waterman Ideal pens.
It has been fully restored and now works perfectly.
