This is another splendid example of this rare and desirable fountain pen from the renowned English manufacturer Thomas De la Rue.
De La Rue produced the Onoto range and they enjoyed a reputation for being the highest quality British made pen.
They were of a better quality than all their contemporaries including Conway Stewart and Parker.
This is the Onoto "The Pen" model dating from around 1925, it is made from Black Hard Rubber with two gold plated bands, one on the cap and one on the barrel. Both bands have a TDLR logo inmprinted onto them.
The nib is a medium and has a wonderful flex to it, the sort of flex you only get with these early nibs.
The imprint on the barrel is faint but still legible.
The pen is fitted with the Onoto pump filling system which has been fully and professionally serviced and is now in perfect order. New seals have been fitted so the pen is fully restored to its original condition.
Condition: Grade A (What does this mean).
