Description.
This is a tremendous pen in incredibly good condition. It the SF2 dating from around 1910, it was made in the USA at the time when the US operation was being transferred over to the UK.
The pen is finished in full rolled gold to both cap and barrel. The gold plate on the section is full and complete which is very rare, normally the acid in the ink caused the plating on the section to corrode. There are a couple of very small marks and dings to the cap and barrel but they are not at all obtrusive. The pen is quite small, around 97mm (just less than 4") and so is not suitable for a large hand.
The No.2 nib is original to the pen and is a medium / fine with a little flex.
The manufacturers engraving on the barrel is like new and the clip is in perfect condition with no loss of plating.
The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write.
It is supplied in its original leather case which is in mint condition.
