Description;

This is an excellent example of the Parker 65 Heirloom. The top of the range Heirloom pens sported a rainbow cap made from alternate layers of different colours of gold. The effect is very striking, and the pens are much less common than the standard Classic and Custom pens. The Heirloom caps were discontinued in 1969 due to high production costs and high reject rates.

The Parker 65 is similar to the 61 but it has an open beaked nib which many people found more attractive than the hooded type fitted to the 61.

The pen has been used very lightly and is in excellent condition with only very minor marks, there are no dings in the cap. It uses standard Parker cartridges, or an optional converter can be fitted to enable it to use ink from a bottle. It is fitted with a lovely smooth Medium nib.
