Description.

This is an excellent example of an early Swan Self Filling Fountain Pen, this is the SF1 which was made in the UK and dates from around 1930.

The pen is made from Black Hard Rubber with a chased wavy line pattern. The pattern is very crisp and the pen has not faded at all.

The imprint on the barrel is clear and vibrant and the pen is in excellent condition throughout. The pen's value is enhanced by the addition of a solid 18ct gold cap band.

The Blackbird 14ct nib is a wonderful Medium Flexible which gives a lovely shape to your handwriting.

The pen has been fully serviced and is ready to write. The wonderful nib and the gold band help to make this quite a special pen.
