Description.

Parker introduced the International Classic propelling pencil, along with a matching ballpen, in 1967. They were only available in three finishes, Sterling Silver Cisele, Vermeil Cisele, and Imperial gold electroplate. The styling and finish of these rare pens closely followed the flagship Parker 75 line. Fountain pens to match the International classic were never made. It wasn't until the 'new' Classic range was released in 1986 that a fountain Pen was included.

This is a lovely example of the International Classic Propelling Pencil in the beautiful Sterling Silver Cisele finish. There are no dings in the cap or barrel and the gold plating to the clip and nozzle is perfect.

The International Classic was a high-end pen, unlike the later 1980's Classic range which succeeded the Parker 180 and was definitely in the low to mid range.

They are now hard to find, and this is an excellent example.
