Description;

The Parker Duofold Junior was first introduced in 1923 as part of the first Duofold range. The first models were made from Red or Black Hard Rubber. The Mandarin Yellow, Jade Green and Lapis Lazuli pens were introduced in 1927 and were made from Permanite, Parkers name for Celluloid.

This is a Duofold Junior Fountain Pen and Pencil set in Jade Green marble. It was made around 1930 and is in very good condition.

The colours are clean and bright with a little darkening of the barrel on the Fountain Pen. The imprint is superb, very clear and totally legible. The gold plating to the clips and cap rings is in lovely condition with some very minor wear at the edges.

The pen has been fully serviced and is filling and writing exactly as it did nearly 100 years ago. It has been thoroughly cleaned and prepared. The Pencil take standard 1.1 or 1.2mm leads which are still readily available.

All parts of the set are totally original, including the fabulous Fine 14ct gold nib.

This is a wonderful set, the condition is excellent. The nib is smooth and the gold plating is strong.
